Check Out Procedure
Last Revised: 22-Nov-2006After packing, you will complete both sides of a check out sheet that will be included in your information packet (or you can print a copy by clicking Check Out Sheet.doc). This move check out sheet will be used in your new space to verify that all items you have packed arrive at their proper destination. When you have finished packing, fill out the move check out sheet and complete the process by reviewing this sheet with your Room Coordinator. Your Room Coordinator will initial the sheet after the review. Please do not leave your office until you have reviewed this document with your Room Coordinator. This process will acheive the following objectives.
- All of the boxes are counted and recorded on the check out sheet. This will ensure that everything made it to its final destination.
- The correct label and proper room number has been recorded so that furniture, boxes, and equipment arrive in the correct location.
- Computer equipment and other office equipment are properly labeled.
- Identify where the technician should seat your computer using a CPU Placement Card.doc.
- Confirm that all of the untagged miscellaneous items in the move will not be moved.
- All of the boxes are properly closed. If items are sticking out or if the box lid does not close, it may be necessary to re-pack the box.
- All of the items on the final move checklist have been completed.
